The World University Games are a dress rehearsal for the Olympics; both in terms of national team reserve selection and introduction of youth to international sports movement. I believe that the Games in Kazan will be staged at the highest level, because the city has all the conditions created for sports development; tremendous sports facilities are constructed in Kazan. It’s important for me that I was awarded the honour to present such an interesting and grand international university sports project as the 2013 Summer Universiade.
