Famous athletes of Russia, as well as representatives of the national cultural elite, were awarded the honorary title of Kazan 2013 Ambassador. The mission of a Kazan 2013 Ambassador is to promote the ideas of the Universiade, to popularise and develop the values of university sports, tourism and a healthy lifestyle.

Archery champion of the 26th World University Summer Games in Shenzhen (compound bow, individual); silver medallist of the 26th World University Summer Games in Shenzhen (compound bow, team), silver medallist of the Cup Russia 2012 (compound bow).

"I feel honoured by being entrusted with the mission of a Kazan 2013 Ambassador, since the competitions of this scale have not been held in our country for nearly 40 years already. I hope that I will be able to make my own contribution to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among students, to infect my peers with a desire to take part in the forthcoming Universiade, either as athletes, supporters or volunteers."

Master of Sport International Level (weightlifting), champion of the 26th World University Summer Games in Shenzhen, Russian champion in the 85kg weight class (2011), silver medallist of the 2010 Russian Championship, absolute champion of the Russian Youth Spartakiade, repeat champion and record-holder among Russian young weightlifters. Nominated for the Outstanding Athlete of the Republic of Bashkortostan Award.

"I’m happy that our country is to host such high-level competitions, and I’m unspeakably glad that I was entrusted with the role of a Kazan 2013 Ambassador. I take my mission very seriously. I wear my Kazan 2013 scarf everywhere and at every competition I perform I tell athletes and fans about the forthcoming Games."
