The participants were provided with comfortable living conditions and all necessary services (banking and post office services, a beauty salon, clothing and footwear repair shops, a laundromat, a supermarket and a souvenir shop).
The Main Restaurant of the Universiade Village was visited by 543,104 people during the Games.
4 mobile inspection complexes were used to check vehicles and cargo entering the Universiade venues in Kazan. A total of 58,838 vehicles were inspected at various venues.
In order to ensure that all the Games participants and guests (volunteers, judges, journalists, distinguished guests) were granted comfortable accommodations, roughly 50 hotels, 8 cruise ships and 22 other sites (health resorts, recreation camps and others) were used.
6 hospitals were allocated for use during the Universiade.
55 first aid teams, 148 sport doctors, 1,350 medical staff and 635 medical volunteers were enlisted to provide medical assistance for the athletes.
380 free tours, which were attended by 14,348 people, were organised during the Games.
On July 13th the traditional Tatar national holiday, Sabantuy, was held in Birchwood in Mirny Township. More than 7,000 guests and Universiade athletes took part in the celebration.
More than 600 official events, including 351 victory ceremonies were held during the Games.
There were more than 768 hours worth of TV coverage on the Universiade, including 553 hours in Russia and 215 hours abroad.
