Tennis. Results of tournament

On July 16 the tennis tournament was completed at the 27th World Summer Universiade in Kazan.

In the women' doubles the Universiade gold was taken by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Elena Vesnina (Russia), Varatchaya Wongteanchai/ Noppawan Lertcheewakarn from Thailand won the silver, Darya Lebesheva and Polina Pekhova (Belarus) became bronze medallists as well as the duet from Poland (Barbara Sobaszkiewicz/Silwia Zagorska).

In the men' doubles the duet from Chinese Taipei Hsin-han Lee/Hsien-yin Peng won the gold, Russians Victor Baluda and Konstantin Kravchuk won the silver, the bronze was shared between Belarusian duet Alieksandr Bury/Andrei Vasilevski and athletes from Korea Enngkuy Lim/Sangvo No.

In the men' singles the gold medal was taken by the Korean tennis player Lim Yongkyu, the silver came to  Antso Rakotondramanga (Madagascar), bronze medals were won by Russian Konstantin Kravchuk and French Maksim Kinkeno. 

In the women' singles the first place was won by Japanese tennis player Sachie Ishizu, American Sabrina Santamaria took the silver. The bronze medals were awarded to Hiroko Kuwata (Japan) and Katerina Vankova (Czech).

Among mixed pairs the victory was celebrated by the Russian duet Andrey Kuznetsov/Elena Vesnina. Athletes from Japan Shota Tagawa and Hiroko Kuwata won the silver. The bronze was taken by pairs from Switzerland (Patrick Olivier Eichenberger/Lisa Sabina) and Chinese Taipei (Hsin-han Lee/Hua-chen Lee). 

The Japanese team became the winner of women's team event (170 scores), the second place was taken by Russian players (80 scores), American athletes took the third place (70 scores).   

In the men's team event the first place was won by tennis players from South Korea (150 scores), the second place was taken by the national team of Chinese Taipei (90), and the Russian team is on the third place with its 80 scores.
