In the final team of Sergey Shlyapnikov won the team of Poland with the score of 3-0 (25:22, 25:19, 25:19).

"The score is on the table. We've won, and it means that we fulfilled a part of what was planned for the match. I general, we played well in the final. I am glad very much that we became the Universiade champion. Each coach is valuable in his way," Ilinykh said to journalist of R-Sport. "The most difficult was match against Brazil's athletes, as they are Brazilians anyway. Plus - the tensed game with Japan," he added. "The atmosphere on stands was super. I am very thankful to Kazan fans for such a support. You are the best!"
