What are the impressions from Kazan and the Universiade?
- Feeling of great pride, I am very glad that experience it together with Kazan citizens, athletes. Such important event is being held in my native city. Kazan has changed much: become so beautiful, comfortable, clean. I like this very much.

What is your vision of your mission as the Universiade Ambassador?
I am a singer and represent my city in different cities, different countries. This is my main task. And here I sang at the Opening Ceremony.

Tell us about the song you performed at the Opening Ceremony?

-It was created not by me, it was written by Igor Krutoy. Probably, it suits me, harmonizes with me, my voice. The song is very beautiful, I liked it. Igor Krutoy lived it, experienced it, felt that it’s this song that must open the Universiade.

Should we wait for any surprises from you at the Closing Ceremony?

- As far as I know, pop and rock music will sound at the Universiade Closing Ceremony. And we will have our own closing: the Chaliapin.Nureyev.Kazan Festival will be finished in the opera theatre. At the gala concert soloists of different operas will perform together with the orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre headed by Valeriy Gergiyev.
