On Wednesday, the Russian players defeated the Italian team (30:10) in the rugby 7 tournament in Kazan.
“It was difficult to psych ourselves up for a today’s match. All we were tired physiologically as well, but we managed, nevertheless, to perform our tasks, what is the most important. Before the match, we have always the only task, that is to maintain discipline of a match and our result depends on how we perform this task”, - Kazakova said after the match to the reporter of R-Sport. In her interview to the agency, the player said that the rugby players “are satisfied with a today’s match, however, they could play better”. “Definitely, there were moments when our defensive line was broken, we stopped running lines, and it was obvious near the “pitch” that we were pinned. It was some kind of fleeting confusion, but we psyched up, formed a line and began defending”, - she explained.
