The Russian athletes defeated the Norwegian duo 2-0 (21:11, 21:14).

"There was rivalry in the game. We thought it would be easier," R-Sport quotes. "Judging by the score, it looks like it was easy, but it wasn't. It's a new place, the sand is a bit hard. So it was a bit difficult to move around. But otherwise the game worked out," Svetlana Prokopeva said to journalists and noted the confident game of her duo when serving the ball. "Serving is the main element. If it is there and you receive the ball all right, then the game will work out. It was windy today, but yesterday it wasn't. It was quite a good breeze – the other side was advantageous as we played against the wind," the athlete noted.

In the second match of the tournament, the Russian athletes defeated the Brazilian team, who didn't score even 20 points in the game (21:9, 21:8). "Brazil is a separate conversation. The girls are more like amateurs. They did not jump – they are not very tall, they just outed the ball all the time. Looking at them, you could say that they didn't want to play - they just stood there," Prokopyeva said.
