The Russian track and field athlete Irina Yumanova told R-Sport reporters that, even though she did not manage to win, she is happy with her silver medal in the 20km race walking competition at the Summer Universiade 2013. “I can’t say that the track was easy, but we’re not trying to find any faults with it. The most important thing is that I’ve won the silver. I am very happy with my result and with my time. I came here to win a medal and I have, that’s the most important thing,” Yumanova told reporters after the awards ceremony. The track and field athlete noted that she is not sure if she will be competing in the World Championships in Moscow. “As for the World Championships, the final decision is with the trainers. If I won’t compete in the World championships, then I won’t have any more competitions this year. The Universiade is a very large competition and I am very honoured to have won,” she added.
