Canoe sprint. Preview of competition day

The men's and women's finals of single, double, as well as 200 m and 500 m four events will be held on July 15 at the Rowing Center. In total, 18 sets of medals will be awarded on this day.

The athletes from Italy, Poland, Spain, Australia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Slovakia, Portugal, Uzbekistan, South Korea and Moldova passed to the final competitions.

We remind that 6 sets of medals in the rowing competitions were awarded on July 14.
In competitions in the 1000 m single Fernando Pimenta from Portugal won the gold medal. The silver medal went to Brazilian Aleh Yurenia, Rafal Rosolski from Poland took the bronze medal.

The competitions in the 1000 m single canoe ended with the victory of the athlete from Hungary Tamas Kiss. The silver medal went to Sergey Emelyanov from Kazakhstan, and the Russian rower Ilya Shtokalov took the third place.

The competitions in the men's 1000 m kayak were won by the Polish duo, the Russian pair - Vitaly Yurchenko and Vasilii Pogreban - took the silver medal. The Hungarian pair closed the top three.

The first place in the men's 1000 m double sculls rowing competitions went to the pair of the Russian athletes, the Czech Republic took the second place, and Poland took the third place.

The third place in the men's K-4 1000 m was shared by Hungary and Belarus, Poland took the second place. Russia received the gold medal in the discipline.

The four canoe competitions ended with the victory of the Ukrainian team. The Russian team took the second place, and third place went to Poland.

315 athletes from 29 countries applyed for participation in the rowing and canoeing competitions.
