The Russian men's team won the Universiade silver medal in the team 10m air rifle event, having yielded to the Chinese team. In the men’s air rifle event, Nazar Luginets won a silver medal, Sergey Kruglov gained bronze, while the Chinese shooter Liu Zhiguo became a champion.

"On the one hand, I am satisfied that we have medals, we made a start, but in general, I would like my team to win gold, of course. We expected that we would compete with the Chinese team for gold, psyched ourselves up for it and expected to win. Although the team from China is very strong at these Games, including the athletes, prepared for the Olympic Games, this year, they passed all the stages of the World Cup and all they became medallists. But our shooters know what's what and they could win, but they failed just a little.” Kraynov said in the conversation with a R-Sport reporter. "Nervousness had its impact. In any case, everyone, including the Chinese competitors, gets nervous in the final. I would not say that they have a secret weapon. They are, probably, more hard-working and well-conditioned. But I think that the Russian shooting team will celebrate its victory very soon"- he added. The coach admitted that not all athletes of the Russian team did their best. “I expected more from Serezha Kruglov, he has more experience and wanted to compete for gold. But he failed, only three points left to win. Evidently, we did something wrong while preparing. This is a question for the future, we will analyse and correct everything. Sergey Kamensky (the third Russian shooter who did not placed in the top three medallists, but took part in the final shooting) could show better result as well. But in general, the guys did a good job. There are two events ahead, so, we will expect to win medals in them, " Kraynov concluded.
