What does participation in competitions within the Universiade frameworks mean for you?

- It was extremely important for me to come to the Games in Kazan. We started preparation long ago. There was a great wish to perform well at the home Universiade (the athlete is originally from Tatarstan)

How do you feel in the champion status of the Summer Universiade?

The victory at the Universiade is still the highest achievement in my life. Being a young athlete I intend to work further and achieve much higher results.

What helped you to win?

First of all trainings but the support of spectaculars is also important. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to start and saw a colossal number of spectaculars. There were a lot of my friends, acquaintances, even people from my native city arrived to support me. But at the same time it was twice hard because everyone expected only a victory from me. Nevertheless, I managed to overcome anxiety and showed an excellent result.

How are your trainings conducted?

-The whole season we were training long and insistently, allocating to this process the maximum time and efforts, so when I arrived here on July 7, I was completely ready to start and trained only 1,5 hours per day. However, it was enough to become a champion.

Are you planning to participate and take medals at the forthcoming IAAF World Championship 2013 in Moscow?

- Of course, I’d like to perform in Moscow. Why not? But it will be very hard to do it not only physically but morally as well. We gave all efforts and emotions in course of the current season. We conducted a really long season and are tired, just tired. After a recent performance all our thoughts are gone.

How do you organize yourselves before competitions?

- In fact everything depends on felling with which you wake up. Sometimes it is better to think about sport, sometimes to abstract. It happens in different ways.
