On Sunday team of Russia defeated the Japanese players with the score 3-1 in semifinal. In the decisive match the Russians will play with the Poles who defeated the Ukrainians.

"It is also not the first volleyball game for the Japanaese team. They performed well, their defence was firm in the third game. Their diagonal played remarkably. In general, volleyball was of a high quality. Nobody rejects that the Japanese players were under stress in first two games. They lost to us in the friendly match, and in the semifinal against the Russian national team; perhaps they didn't show their best because of nervousness," Antipkin commented to journalists. Volleyball player noted the character of the Russian team which could gather together after the third lost set. "It's obvious that we did something wrong too. Relaxed at some moment we managed than to turned the tide of the game. Of course, it wasn't pleasant to observe our own faults. It's well that we managed to win at the end. This is what we call mastery when you can concentrate at the decisive moment," he said remarking that the Russians expect to meet with a strong team. "I saw Poland in the match with Ukraine. Good team. It is stable in all components and roles. It has a good diagonal player, he is strong physically. We will compete," Antipkin claimed.
