DJ Groove at Cultural Universiade: Music and Sports will always be inseparable

The Russian DJ Evgeny Rudin, better known as DJ Groove, completed a concert on Sunday evening in the Universiade Cultural Park. The musician took the stage after appearances by Russian and Belarusian rock groups.

In a rapid-fire interview, the artist told journalists that, when he was studying at musical school, he was part of the table-tennis section and even passed the exam to become a candidate master of sports, but finally decided to do music. Rudin said that he is a fan of track and regularly trains in it, sometimes in a gym and sometimes in the fresh air. The DJ would have loved to go to any of the Universiade competitions, because he considers the event to be one-of-a-kind for the country and region.

DJ Groove  appears at sports events four or five times a year, but this is his first time at the Universiade.

"I think that we will go to sports events regularly, because music and sports are always inseparable," Evgeny Rubin believes. "And moreover, an athlete needs energetic music twice as much. Even when they are training, they always try to listen to energetic dance music on their walkmans."

This is the musician's third time in Kazan this year. He says that it is very beautiful and clean here, which many great people and events. "I can come to Kazan not just for work, but to relax. I'm very happy with everything here," he summed things up.

The artist's further plans include Moscow, Kamensk-Uralsky, and Yekaterinburg.
