Kazan may host European Judo Championships

Delegates of the European Judo Union (EJU) will pay an inspection visit to Kazan on November 5-6. This visit is part of EJU's series of inspection tours to each of the candidate cities bidding to host the 2016 European Judo Championships. The host city will be announced at the EJU Ordinary Congress in Dubrovnik (CRO) on November 29.

IAAF delegates to arrive in Kazan for inspection visit

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) inspection team will visit the capital of Tatarstan on October 31-November 2. The delegates will view the Central Stadium, the key venue of the IAAF World Junior Championships that will be held in Kazan in less than two years, and other venues as well.

Ice hockey legends to gather in Kazan for fundraising match

A number of legendary ice hockey players were invited by President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, to visit Kazan between September 21 and 23, 2014. Among the special guests are member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and 1972 Summit Series player Phil Esposito, leading scorer of the 1972 and 1974 Summit Series and USSR team player Alexander Yakushev, as well as Valery Kamensky, Alexander Semak, Esa Tikkanen and other ice hockey stars.
