27th Summer Universiade in Kazan,

Tatarstan Badminton Championship Final

The Republic of Tatarstan Badminton Championship will be held in Kazan between June 2 and 4, 2013. The competitions will take place at the Tennis Academy, located on 101 Orenburgsky Trakt.

It is expected that up to 300 athletes will come together to compete in 32 medal events.

57 officials will oversee the tournament.

The badminton competition is one of the test events ahead of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013. Badminton is an optional sport in the World University Games programme. It made its debut at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok (Thailand).

For three days, the rounds of the traditional Tatarstan Badminton Championship Final has been unfolding at the Tennis Academy, one of the key venues of the Games. The competitions were held in the men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles in four age groups.
