In May 2011 the Kazan Branch of the Russian Academy of Justice signed a cooperation agreement with the Executive Directorate of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan and received the official status of ‘HEI of the 2013 Summer Universiade’.

The Kazan Branch of the Russian Academy of Justice was established on January 3rd, 2001.

The branch enrolls over 2,000 students. The faculty and teaching staff comprise 153 people, including 13 professors and doctors of sciences, 56 associate professors and PhDs.

The higher education institution actively works to promote a healthier way of life (Kazan Branch of the Russian Academy of Justice – Smoke-free Academy Project) and to spread the sporting ideas among students, faculty and teaching staff.

It offers the opportunity to participate in football and volleyball sports clubs. Every year the higher education institution hosts championships across different sports. Its squads take part in competitions among universities and institutes of the city of Kazan.

Student volunteers of the Kazan Branch of the Russian Academy of Justice take an active part the meetings with FISU delegations held ahead of the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade.
